Obituary

John E. Jack Quigley Sr., 86, of Caldwell, N.J. passed away on November 22nd. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Mr. Quigley was born and grew up in Newark, N.J., the son of Arthur and Mary Quigley and brother of Mrs. Marion McPhail (neé Quigley).

Mr. Quigley served in the United States Navy as a Quartermaster 2nd Class, receiving an Honorable Discharge prior to returning to civilian life. He is survived by his former wife, Marie E. Quigley of Manchester, N.J. and three children, John E. Quigley Jr of Franklin MA, Mark R. Quigley of Tampa, Fl, and Mrs. Suzanne E. Deakin, of Oxford, United Kingdom. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, John R. Quigley, Timothy J. Quigley, Michael J. Quigley, Conor J. Quigley, Alison M. Quigley, Max A. Deakin, Alec J. Deakin and India J. Deakin.

Visitation hours for Mr. Quigley will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Shook Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Avenue, Roseland, NJ, shookfarmer.com from 3-7 PM and a Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell, NJ. Interment will be private.
