Maureen Catherine Mingle lost her battle with diabetes and lung cancer at St. Barnabas Hospital on Sunday, July 7, 2019. She was 74.
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 10:00 am through 11:30 am in the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at 12:00 pm at St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell, NJ with interment to follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, NJ.

A longtime resident of Essex Fells, Maureen earned her Master''s in Clinical Social Work from New York University. She was employed by Time Inc. in New York for several years before moving back home to Essex Fells where her father, Frank Mingle, had once served as mayor.
Maureen, in concert with the Montclair League of Women''s Voters, created and funded a Local annual "Mayor''s Lunch" in his honor.
A big supporter of the Caldwell Public Library, she was a major sponsor of their successful "Murder Mystery Night" fundraiser.
An avid dog lover, Maureen would throw an annual birthday party for her dog, Healey, to benefit the animal rescue organization, Orphaned Pets, Inc.in West Caldwell.
A longtime member of Essex Fells Country Club, in addition to her many other philanthropic contributions, she was a former Board member to the Essex Fells Police Foundation and Essex County Red Cross.
In her spare time, she enjoyed entertaining with friends and was a New York Mets fan.
Maureen is predeceased by her parents, Frank Mingle and Mae Healey Mingle and brother, Larry. She is survived by her beloved canine companion, Healey and many friends who loved her.
